You'll partner closely with product designers, engineers, and go-to-market teams to ensure every interaction is clear, consistent, and thoughtfully crafted.</p> <p>This is a highly cross-functional role with broad ownership and visibility across the company. You'll help simplify complex financial concepts, establish messaging standards, and influence the product experience for a growing user base. As a UX Writer, you'll have the opportunity to define our content strategy, build scalable processes, and make a lasting impact on both our product and brand.</p> <h2>As the UX Writer at Databento, you will:</h2> <ul> <li>Own copy across all product surfaces, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and user-focused</li> <li>Collaborate with product designers to optimize user flows and improve the overall product experience</li> <li>Review product mockups and prototypes, providing copy recommendations and supporting design-to-engineering handoffs</li> <li>Partner with engineering teams to develop intuitive language for complex technical concepts and workflows</li> <li>Work closely with product and go-to-market teams to ensure product messaging aligns drives success of product</li> <li>Develop and maintain messaging frameworks, voice and tone guidelines, and copywriting standards</li> <li>Support content design initiatives </li> <li>Serve as the internal subject matter expert on UX writing and content strategy</li> <li>Identify opportunities to improve product usability through thoughtful language and content design</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree</li> <li>Prior job experience in UX/UI writing, product design, product marketing, technical writing, or any copywriting role</li> <li>Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered writing </li> <li>Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts</li> <li>Strong understanding of UX principles and design</li> <li>Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design teams</li> <li>Familiarity with Figma</li> </ul> </div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Our recruiting data suggests that underrepresented applicants often downplay their skills.
