Staff Accountant

This role requires regular alignment with the U.S. Eastern business day and is primarily a night-shift position based in India (generally 6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST during U.S. daylight saving time and 7:30 PM–4:30 AM IST during standard time). Flexibility during quarter-end and year-end close periods is expected. What You'll Do Be responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for certain key balance sheets and income statement accounts (including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and performing flux analysis). Key areas of responsibility may include cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and credit cards intangibles. Collaborate with key cross-functional partners within the Company to support the accounting close process. Develop, implement and maintain key policies and procedures for your assigned areas of responsibilities. Provide support for financial statement audits and tax filings upon request Aid in the optimization of existing platforms and the use of platforms such as NetSuite, Floqast and Navan Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting Netsuite experience (required) Proficient in Microsoft Excel Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple tasks at once Strong written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills Highly self-motivated Excellent time management and organizational skills Pluses, but not required Prior experience with Floqast and Navan Expense + Travel CPA with Big 4 Experience What We Value In addition to our core values , which are not unique to this position and are necessary for Mapbox leaders: We value high-performing creative individuals who dig into problems and opportunities.
