The Role BeyondTrust is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help build the NHI Governance domain within our Pathfinder products. You will implement and maintain features and services that power our SaaS offerings — helping customers discover, assess, and remediate non-human identities (service accounts, workload identities, secrets and keys, and AI agents) across cloud and on-premise environments. You will work closely with senior engineers, product, and design, growing your scope and impact while delivering high-quality software that solves complex identity and security challenges at scale.  What You’ll Do <ul> <li>Implement, test, and maintain well-scoped features and services across the domain. </li> <li>Write clean, readable, well-tested code and respond to feedback in code review. </li> <li>Participate in design discussions and contribute to technical decisions for the work you own. </li> <li>Investigate and fix bugs, and help improve the quality and reliability of the services your team owns. </li> <li>Collaborate with product, design, and fellow engineers to turn requirements into working software. </li> <li>Learn the domain and the codebase, growing toward owning larger and more ambiguous pieces of work. </li> <li>Contribute to observability, testing, and operational health for the features you build. </li> </ul> What You’ll Bring <ul> <li>Solid programming skills in at least one modern language (C#, Go, TypeScript, Java, or similar), with experience building and consuming APIs. </li> <li>Hands-on, day-to-day experience using Claude Code (or comparable agentic AI coding tools) to build and deliver software. </li> <li>Foundational experience with cloud-native development and a public cloud provider (AWS preferred). </li> <li>Understanding of testing practices and familiarity with CI/CD workflows. </li> <li>Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to work through ambiguity with guidance. </li> <li>Good communication and collaboration skills, and eagerness to learn and grow. </li> </ul> Nice To Have <ul> <li>Exposure to identity security concepts: IAM, secrets, OAuth/OIDC. </li> <li>Experience with a modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, or Vue with TypeScript). </li> <li>Familiarity with data modeling, observability, or Infrastructure as Code. </li> </ul> Who You Are <ul> <li>An engineer who takes ownership of their work and follows it through to done. </li> <li>A fast learner, eager to grow technical depth and pick up the domain. </li> <li>A collaborator who welcomes feedback and shares knowledge with the team. </li> <li>Someone who cares about quality and pragmatic, maintainable solutions. </li> <li>A clear communicator across technical and cross-functional conversations. </li> </ul> Better Together Diversity.
