You will own integration from API to hardware, mentor teammates, and influence the future of our robotic platform through direct field experience and technical leadership. You’ll architect end-to-end solutions, deeply collaborate with customers, and work with internal teams to drive both deployment success and long-term product improvements.  About the Work <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Architect and execute complex integrations across robotic systems, customer APIs, sensors, and software</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop software integrations using Python, REST API and MQTT. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Design mechatronics systems and industrial automation that adapts customer applications to Digit’s capabilities</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Integrate IoT devices with customer equipment including PLCs, conveyors, sensors, etc. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead on-site commissioning, field testing, and iterative problem-solving with minimal supervision</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on product capabilities, APIs, and behavior across internal and customer teams</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop custom tools, scripts, or software modules to extend robotic functionality for specific applications</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Identify root causes of systemic issues and partner with engineering for long-term resolution</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Guide and support go-to-market efforts for new features and early deployments, including field validation</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate directly with customers to scope technical requirements and adapt site conditions for robotic success Partner with Product and Systems Engineering to provide field-based feedback that shapes our roadmap</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Deliver advanced training and documentation to both internal teams and external customers</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Design reusable, scalable integration templates for future deployments</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Mentor junior and mid-level team members, driving process improvements and integration best practices</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Travel ~20-50% to support customer deployments, pilots, and field testing initiatives</li> </ul> <h3>About You</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience)</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">6+ years of experience deploying robotics or automation systems in real-world environments</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience designing mechatronics systems or industrial automation</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Expertise inPython, networking, and hardware/software system interfacing</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Proven track record solving hard technical problems at the intersection of automation and customer needs</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong communication and leadership skills; able to drive alignment across engineering, product, and external stakeholders</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Passion for building scalable systems and driving real product improvements from field experience</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Comfortable owning complex projects independently and mentoring others</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time</li> </ul> <h3>Bonus Points</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience with Linux</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Led pilots or customer-focused technical programs in robotics or automation</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Familiarity with ROS, safety standards, electromechanical systems, or industrial networks</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Advanced programming skills (C++, TypeScript, Kotlin, etc.)</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience contributing to SDKs, developer tools, or integration frameworks</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Built reusable deployment tooling or scalable field support systems </li> </ul> Location  <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">This a hybrid position based out of one of our Salem, OR office.</li> </ul> The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Agility Robotics is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions who work in other locations.
