The ideal candidate will independently design, develop, and own scalable, secure, and reliable applications across the full technology stack. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, React, microservices, relational databases, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies. Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) standards such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML, along with Okta or similar identity providers, is highly desirable. This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, system design capability, production ownership, and the ability to make sound technical decisions. The engineer will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Security, and Engineering teams, contribute to architecture and technical direction, and mentor other engineers. Experience with event-driven architectures, observability, and AI/LLM integration is a strong plus.   What you will do <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot services and RESTful APIs, taking end-to-end ownership of features and services.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure microservices and distributed systems.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Make technical design decisions considering scalability, availability, performance, security, and maintainability.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build and maintain React applications and reusable UI components, following best practices for state management, routing, accessibility, and frontend performance.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Design and implement authentication and authorization flows using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML, including integrations with Okta or other identity providers.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Apply security best practices including secure token handling, RBAC, input validation, secrets management, and secure API design.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Take ownership of features through the complete lifecycle — requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, with experience in Helm and/or Terraform.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Monitor and troubleshoot production applications using observability tools such as New Relic, Splunk, or Datadog.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in incident response, perform root-cause analysis, and drive preventive and corrective actions.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Write comprehensive unit, integration, and API tests and continuously improve code quality and test coverage.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews, providing technical guidance and constructive feedback.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to improving engineering practices across the team.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with Product, Design, Security, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, architecture decisions, and operational runbooks.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Identify and drive opportunities to improve performance, reliability, scalability, developer productivity, and operational efficiency.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Evaluate and integrate AI/LLM capabilities into product features where appropriate, including LLM APIs, RAG-based solutions, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.</li> </ul>   What you will have <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">6+ years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on full-stack development experience.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong hands-on experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, hooks, component design, and state management.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
