We achieve this by providing an integrated suite of analytics frameworks, services and applications. We’re infrastructure and full stack engineers with a human focus: customer-centric, quality driven, helpful and empathetic. </li> <li>As a backend / fullstack software engineer on the Analytics Products team (which is part of Analytics Infrastructure) you will have the opportunity to build data tools which enable data practitioners to efficiently explore and analyze data to create insights. The team manages data products used by 7,000 monthly active users, including our in-house build  AI for Data product, BI product (<a href="https://medium.com/airbnb-engineering/supercharging-apache-superset-b1a2393278bd">Apache Superset</a>) and Notebooks and their integrations within the Data Platform tooling, like Airbnb’s in-house build <a href="https://medium.com/airbnb-engineering/how-airbnb-achieved-metric-consistency-at-scale-f23cc53dea70">Metric system</a> which enables metric consistency at scale. </li> </ul> The Difference You Will Make: <ul> <li>Shape up the future of AI powered Data Analytics at Airbnb. By working on improvements to our AI agent for Data, researching industry best practices and AI advancements, you will get to shape up and drive how our internal users get value from data.</li> <li>Collaborate with other data platform teams to build integrations of our data tools with Airbnb's data platform’s ecosystem, like the <a href="https://medium.com/airbnb-engineering/metis-building-airbnbs-next-generation-data-management-platform-d2c5219edf19">metric infrastructure</a> which enables metric consistency at scale, <a href="https://medium.com/airbnb-engineering/metis-building-airbnbs-next-generation-data-management-platform-d2c5219edf19">data management platform</a> which enables data discovery and data management, data warehouse infrastructure and services, and more.</li> <li>Continue to hold high quality bar for our data tools, to ensure high stability and reliability for Airbnb’s data practitioners. </li> </ul> A Typical Day:  <ul> <li>Build new features to support user’s workflows within our data products (Superset, AI agent for Data, Notebooks)</li> <li>Collaborate with teams within Airbnb’s data platform on integrations of our data products within the data platform’s infrastructure. </li> <li>Engage with users of our products - we expect all engineers to be able to drive projects end to end, gather user feedback or collaborate with product managers, create and manage feature roll out plans and migrations. </li> <li>Contribute to maintaining a high technical quality bar by identifying quality or architecture improvements projects, improving testability, observability, and reviewing other’s code and technical designs.</li> <li>Support users and the team’s operations via lightweight on-call support.</li> </ul> Your Expertise: <ul> <li>8+ years of full-time, relevant industry experience, with expertise in building backend or fullstack applications</li> <li>Hands-on experience with data (SQL, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering) or internal data applications development</li> <li>Passion for building interactive and delightful user experiences and engaging with users.</li> </ul> Ability to drive cross functional projects including alignment, collaboration and roll out with partner teams and users. <ul> <li>Appetite for high quality code and robust systems, including observability, reliability. </li> <li>Experience with building AI agents, context engineering, AI harness is a plus.</li> <li>Expertise with frontend development - HTML, CSS, Typescript, Javascript and modern front-end frameworks such as React is a plus.</li> <li>Experience in big data technologies e.g: Airflow, Spark, Trino, etc. is a plus. </li> </ul> Our Commitment To Inclusion & Belonging: Airbnb is committed to working with the broadest talent pool possible.
