You can read more about our latest funding round<a href="https://www.cortex.io/post/announcing-series-c"> here</a>.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>💼 The Role</strong></span><br><span style="font-size: 10pt;">As a Senior Professional Services Engineer, you will act as a hands-on technical consultant, owning customer engagements end to end, from kickoff through delivery and handover. Your focus is helping customers successfully design, implement, and scale their Cortex setup through a consultative, hands-on-driven approach.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You’ll work closely with customers to understand their engineering ecosystem, data models, and how their organization structures its Engineering Operations System. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to customers, solving real technical problems, and translating complex systems into practical solutions.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, from engineers and platform teams to Product Managers, Engineering Leadership, and CTOs.</span></p> <h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>🛠️ What You’ll Do</strong></span></h2> <h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Customer Engagement &amp; Delivery</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead end-to-end delivery of Cortex Onboarding &amp; Implementation packages, from kickoff through handover, via structured enablement workshops and tailored customer engagements</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Serve as the main technical point of contact during implementation to troubleshoot issues, investigate bugs, and raise product feedback&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Act as a trusted, consultative advisor, helping customers make informed design and implementation decisions</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Technical Implementation</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Design, configure, and troubleshoot Cortex features and integrations across the engineering toolchain</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Advise on and implement data modeling strategies within Cortex (entities, relationships, ownership); create and communicate architecture diagrams for Cortex setups and ingestion pipelines</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Guide customers on data ingestion automation, ownership, reporting and orchestration approaches (e.g. GitHub Actions, Argo)</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Content &amp; Enablement</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Create customer-facing learning guides, walkthroughs, and best-practice documentation</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Plan and facilitate enablement workshops for different audiences (engineering, platform, product, leadership)</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Contribute internal content on advanced technical use cases and implementation patterns</span></li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>✔️What We’re Looking For</strong></span></h2> <h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Core Skills &amp; Experience</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience in customer-facing technical roles, such as Professional Services, Technical Consulting, Solutions Architecture, Platform Engineering (with customer exposure), or similar</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Hands-on experience integrating SaaS tools via APIs, webhooks, and ingestion pipelines</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Familiarity with modern engineering ecosystems (CI/CD, GitHub/GitLab, cloud providers, observability, incident management)</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Comfortable working with JSON and YAML (Python, SQL, and scripting are a plus)</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>💰 Compensation</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Starting Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Competitive Equity Package</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">*Our job titles may span more than one career level.
