Senior Product Designer — Trading

<p>Clear Street Active is a new retail trading product. Equities, options, futures, crypto, prediction markets. We're building it with a small team, and we need a product designer who knows trading well, not just the UX conventions but what traders actually care about and where existing tools fall short.</p> <p>This role owns the core trading surfaces: research, order entry, position management, portfolio. You'll work directly with engineers and PMs, prototype in the real codebase, and be in the room when product decisions get made.</p> <p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own product design across the trading surfaces, from flow-level decisions down to the micro-interactions that matter when someone is mid-trade</li> <li>Prototype in the real codebase using AI tooling. Figma alone isn't enough here.</li> <li>Work within the design system as it gets built, and flag where it needs to grow</li> <li>Be in the room when product decisions happen and have real opinions about them</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we're looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>Has shipped retail trading products with real users: equities, options, futures, crypto, some meaningful combination. If you haven't designed for people making real trades with real money, this probably isn't the right fit.</li> <li>Understands trading mechanics well enough to have strong opinions about where current products get it wrong</li> <li>Strong craft and taste. The work should look considered.</li> <li>Mobile is expected, not optional. This isn't a desktop-only product.</li> <li>Can prototype in the real codebase using AI tooling. Not expected to write production code, but Figma alone isn't enough.</li> <li>High autonomy. You'll set your own direction and course-correct when you're wrong.</li> <li>No ego</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Background at a consumer fintech with a strong design culture</li> <li>Options or derivatives UX specifically</li> <li>Has worked on or contributed to a design system</li> </ul> <p>This is a small team. Everyone is building, giving feedback, and in the work together, not siloed by function.</p> <p></p>
