We are looking for a highly self-motivated professional who embraces DevOps culture, has experience with AWS services and technologies and is passionate about learning, automating, innovating and working in a highly collaborative environment. </p><p></p><p><strong>Your activities will include: </strong></p><ul><li>Initiate and actively drive the adoption of good patterns, structures and use of technologies for development and operations </li><li>Investigate and identify practices and work that can benefit from automation </li><li>Monitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety and reliability </li><li>Implement and coordinate implementation with the parties involved </li><li>Develop and maintain existing /GitLab CI pipeline libraries </li><li>Assist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and provide support for any issues that may arise </li><li>Stay up to date with the latest tools and trends in the industry </li><li>Provide senior-level, best practice recommendations and implementations to our Windows, Linux and Kubernetes hosting environments </li><li>Function as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical guidance and recommending continued learning opportunities to help them develop </li><li>Educate fellow team members as well as Application Development Teams about the platforms used-for and hosted-by our team. Key tools and concepts in this space are: Gitlab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh, Kubernetes , Kafka, ELK </li><li>Work with our Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and ensure the security of our environments are being scrutinized as appropriate for their use case </li><li>Offer services related to the above tasks and projects to any of the Companies of the Group as instructed by the Line Manager </li></ul> <ul><li>University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline </li><li><strong>7+ years’ experience</strong> within the following areas: <strong>Cloud ( AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/python scripting, Configuration Management and IAC (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, Networking </strong></li><li>Enterprise-level <strong>Kubernetes </strong>experience </li><li>Solid <strong>Linux</strong> administration skills </li><li>Commitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on observability, modern application architecture styles, blue-green / canary deployments, <strong>CI/CD pipeline management</strong> </li><li>Ability to self-motivate, study, and stay on-top of emerging technologies and trends, while meeting business deadlines </li><li>Experience with tools including: <strong>Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, New Relic</strong> </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Bonus Points: What Will Make You Stand Out </strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with database concepts </li><li>Working experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS)</li><li>Experience with Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting </li><li>Experience with ELK configuration and troubleshooting</li><li>Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, etc.) </li></ul> <ul><li>Work from home </li><li>Medical insurance given after probation period </li><li>Training on market trends and client needs </li><li>Continuous learning and personal development opportunities </li><li>Holiday allowance in line with local legislation </li><li>Competitive compensation package </li><li>Performance - based bonus </li><li>Fun budget for team events </li></ul> <p><strong>To apply:</strong> <a href="https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/sedona-digital-senior-platform-engineer-devops">https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/sedona-digital-senior-platform-engineer-devops</a></p>
