Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout. We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default. As a Senior People Partner supporting Revenue at Docker, you will partner closely with leaders, managers, and employees across our go-to-market organization to connect business priorities to people strategy. This is an experienced individual contributor role for someone who brings strong HR judgment, clear communication, business acumen, and steadiness in complex or high-pressure situations. Revenue is a fast-moving, high-accountability environment, so this person must be able to build trust, influence quickly, and communicate with clarity. Responsibilities: Partner with Revenue leaders and managers on people priorities, including organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, talent planning, engagement, performance, and team health. Provide clear guidance and practical recommendations on complex employee matters, balancing employee experience, business needs, risk, and consistency. Build trusted relationships across Revenue and within the People Team. Influence through credibility, direct communication, and strong partnership. Raise concerns, ask hard questions, and push for better decisions when something may pose a risk, create inconsistency, or have an unintended impact. Stay steady in difficult conversations and bring calm, structure, and sound judgment to situations involving urgency, emotion, competing priorities, or strong opinions. Lead and support core people processes within Revenue, including performance management, talent reviews, compensation cycles, promotions, employee development, engagement planning, and organizational changes. Use data, insights, and business context to identify trends, surface risks, and recommend actions that improve team effectiveness, retention, engagement, and performance. Partner across People, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, People Ops, Total Rewards, and other cross-functional teams to ensure strong alignment and execution for Revenue priorities. Support global and distributed teams by helping leaders understand regional considerations, cultural norms, and employee experience across different locations. Contribute to People Team programs and practices by sharing feedback from Revenue, identifying opportunities to improve how we work, and helping build scalable approaches as Docker grows. Qualifications: Strong experience as a People Partner, HR Business Partner, or similar role, preferably in a technology company or fast-moving global environment. Experience supporting Revenue, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, or other customer-facing teams is strongly preferred. Strong HR knowledge across employee relations, performance management, talent management, compensation, organizational design, change management, engagement, and leadership coaching. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex or sensitive information clearly, tailor messages to the audience, and create alignment when stakeholders may not start in the same place. The ability to push back with confidence and respect. You are comfortable challenging leaders, naming risks, and offering a different perspective when the situation calls for it. Sound judgment and the ability to navigate complex, sensitive, and ambiguous situations with care, discretion, and a practical understanding of business impact. Experience supporting global or distributed teams, with an understanding of how to partner across regions, cultures, and time zones. Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to identify trends, tell a clear story, and recommend action. A collaborative approach and the ability to work well across People Team functions, Revenue teams, and other internal partners. What to Expect In the first month, you will learn Docker’s culture, People Team practices, and the Revenue organization’s business priorities, leadership structure, team dynamics, and current people needs. In the first three months, you will be actively partnering with Revenue leaders and managers, providing clear guidance, building trust, identifying patterns and risks, and demonstrating sound judgment in sensitive or complex situations. In the first year, you will be seen as a trusted advisor to Revenue leaders, managers, and employees. You will operate with strong independence, bring leaders recommendations they can act on, and help improve how the Revenue organization approaches leadership, talent, team health, and people decisions.
