We're rebuilding the Card app from React Native to native iOS and Android, and building every new feature natively. We're looking for a senior native engineer to lead that transition: set the architecture and patterns the team will scale on, raise our quality bar to match the best premium consumer apps, and help a team of strong React Native engineers become confident native contributors. </p> <p><strong>What you’ll do: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the architecture and execution of the Card app's rewrite from React Native to native iOS and Android, including module structure, navigation, state management, design-system integration, and testing.</li> <li>Define and champion native patterns and standards in Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose that the team can learn from and scale on.</li> <li>Build flagship card experiences natively with the polish, performance, and attention to detail of best-in-class consumer apps.</li> <li>Drive an incremental migration plan so the rewrite lands without stalling feature delivery.</li> <li>Mentor React Native engineers into confident native contributors through design reviews, pairing, and code review.</li> <li>Partner with design and product to raise the quality of the experience, not just ship the spec.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ years building production native mobile apps, with deep expertise in iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) and strong working knowledge of the other.</li> <li>A track record of shipping delightful, premium consumer apps known for polish, performance, and craft.</li> <li>Strong, well-reasoned views on mobile architecture and design patterns, and experience laying out an app structure a team can scale on.</li> <li>Demonstrated technical leadership: setting standards, driving large migrations or rewrites, and growing other engineers' skills.</li> <li>Experience partnering closely with design and product on consumer-facing experiences.</li> <li>Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><strong>Pay Transparency Notice:</strong><strong><em> </em></strong>Base salary varies by location (see range below).
