In this role, you will own our infrastructure-as-code automation, virtualization platforms, and storage systems, balancing hands-on physical infrastructure with modern DevOps practices. Most of your work is remote, with scheduled in-office days for collaboration and hardware integration testing.   What you will do Key Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Infrastructure Automation: Design and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack for configuration management and deployment standardization across 5+ datacenters.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Hypervisor Management: Administer vCenter environments and Nutanix AHV clusters; optimize resource allocation, performance tuning, and high-availability configurations.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Storage Engineering: Manage the Nutanix storage fabric, monitoring, and capacity planning; optimize IOPS, latency, and replication strategies.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Datacenter Operations: Lead hardware procurement, specification, and installation during refresh cycles; maintain asset inventory and power/cooling optimization.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Monitoring & Observability: Build Splunk dashboards, field extractors, and alerting rules for infrastructure metrics; troubleshoot performance issues through log analysis.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">CI/CD Integration: Partner with development teams on GitHub-based infrastructure repositories; implement automated testing and rollback procedures for infrastructure changes.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Compliance & Security: Implement hardening standards and vulnerability remediation (CVE patching through patching pipelines), and uphold security best practices across all systems.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">On-Call Rotation: Share in the team on-call rotation, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.</li> </ul>   What you will have Required Skills & Experience <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">5+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering (hypervisors, storage, networking).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">3+ years of IaC with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Deep expertise in VMware vSphere (vCenter administration, ESXi tuning) and Nutanix AHV (deployment, cluster management).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">NetApp storage administration (data protection, replication, capacity management).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Splunk proficiency: dashboard development, field extraction, SPL optimization, and alerting.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">GitHub workflow: branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD pipeline integration.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Linux/Windows system administration and troubleshooting.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Physical infrastructure: comfortable with hardware installation, cabling, and IPMI/iLO management.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Able to travel to our datacenters for deployments, maintenance, and hardware refresh cycles — usually quarterly, and sometimes on shorter notice as needs come up.</li> </ul>   Nice to have Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Hands-on Python scripting for infrastructure automation (config.json-driven patterns).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with vulnerability remediation and patching workflows (CVE tracking, Tanium).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Kubernetes or container orchestration knowledge.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Enterprise SAN/NAS background.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with cloud migration patterns (VMware-to-Nutanix cold migrations).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Advanced Splunk certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Cloud experience (AWS, Azure).</li> </ul> Work Environment <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
