Our team of engineering experts are always innovating to improve the tools and technology that empower content developers worldwide.</p> <h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3> <p>Join Unreal Cloud Services, the team behind Lore (Epic's next-generation, open-source version control system built for the future of game development). You'll work at the boundary between editor and cloud, making distributed workflows, collaboration, and version control feel like a natural part of the creator experience. As Unreal evolves toward UE6, you'll help bring these capabilities together into a cohesive editor experience.</p> <h3><strong>In this role, you will</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Build Unreal Editor features that bring cloud-based collaboration into everyday creator workflows</li> <li><span>Implement responsive editor experiences that interact with asynchronous and distributed servi</span></li> <li><span>Work across editor, networking, storage, revision control, and UX systems to make cloud-backed workflows feel natural to Unreal Engi</span></li> <li><span>Partner with Product and UX teams to turn product ideas into clear, practical, and polished editor experiences</span></li> <li><span>Collaborate with backend and infrastructure engineers on features that span the editor and cloud services</span></li> <li><span>Use modern development practices, including AI-assisted programming, to improve implementation, debugging, and iteration</span></li> </ul> <h3><strong>What we're looking for</strong></h3> <ul> <li><span>Strong C++ skills and experience working in a large native codebase</span></li> <li><span>Experience building user-facing tools, editor features, and complex interactive workflows</span></li> <li><span>Experience building clients that interact with asynchronous or networked services</span></li> <li><span>Strong understanding of parallelism, networking, latency, and failure handling</span></li> <li><span>Strong eye for user experience and how technical behavior affects creator workflows</span></li> <li><span>Experience working closely with Product, UX, and engineering teams to ship features</span></li> <li><span>Experience with Unreal Engine, another game engine, or comparable tools development</span></li> <li><span>Experience with Rust is a plus</span></li> </ul> <h2>EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE</h2> <p><span data-sheets-userformat="{"2":13201,"3":{"1":0},"7":{"1":[{"1":2,"2":0,"5":{"1":2,"2":13421772}},{"1":0,"2":0,"3":3},{"1":1,"2":0,"4":1}]},"10":0,"11":4,"12":0,"15":"Roboto","16":10}">We pay 100% for benefits except for PMI (for dependents).
