Our Nearform engineers are known for building high quality, scalable solutions that solve real world problems.   About the Senior DevOps Engineer Role: As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Nearform, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applications. Your key responsibilities will include: <ul> <li>Developing and managing cloud-based infrastructure on Azure.</li> <li>Creating and maintaining deployment architectures and continuous delivery pipelines.</li> <li>Designing high-availability and fault-tolerant solutions for applications.</li> <li>Implementing monitoring frameworks, including dashboards, alerts, and escalation processes.</li> <li>Automating infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.</li> <li>Managing containerized applications and orchestrating deployments using Kubernetes.</li> <li>Ensuring security best practices are applied across CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.</li> <li>Optimizing system performance and scalability through observability and proactive monitoring.</li> <li>Collaborating with development teams to streamline deployment workflows and improve DevOps processes.</li> <li>Advising clients on best practices for cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and system security.</li> <li>Engaging in technical discussions with stakeholders and supporting project execution to ensure timely delivery.</li> <li>Assisting with the analysis of client requirements.</li> <li>Working with and supporting Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery.</li> <li>Collaborating with client teams.</li> </ul>   What we are looking for in this person <ul> <li>Significant experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level. Our Seniors typically have at least 6 years’ commercial experience.</li> <li>Practical experience and knowledge of developing real-world solutions.</li> <li>Practical experience of delivering in an agile environment.</li> <li>Strong experience managing and automating cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.</li> <li>Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, ideally Kubernetes (K8s).</li> <li>Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.</li> <li>Scripting and automation expertise, preferably with Python.</li> <li>Experience with observability tools and monitoring frameworks for system performance optimization.</li> <li>Solid understanding of security best practices across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li> <li>Professional proficiency in English.</li> </ul>   Our Interview Process Talent Call (30 mins via Zoom) An introductory conversation with a member of our Talent Team to learn more about your background, experience, and career goals. We'll also provide a high-level overview of Nearform and answer any questions you may have. This step helps us assess initial alignment. <hr> Technical Assessment (1 hour via Zoom) A live coding challenge with one of our trained interviewers. You'll be asked to build a working solution to a problem via screen sharing, demonstrating your DevOps engineering expertise, problem-solving ability, and coding best practices in a real-time environment. <hr> Hiring Manager Interview (45 mins via Zoom) A conversation with a Hiring Manager focused on your approach to teamwork, client collaboration, and problem-solving in an enterprise development setting. We'll also share more details about Nearform and the potential projects you may join.
