We’re looking for someone who loves to solve problems and is driven to build great solutions. You will work across all our product lines - translating end-user needs into focused, actionable steps, that result in timely data products. You will help refine and execute our product vision, improving the requirement-intake process, and implementing new processes on a quarterly basis. Vestwell is a continuously evolving data engine at its heart.</p> <p>If you are someone who dives into whatever challenge is placed in front of you, you will be involved in the planning and management of the following facets of our work process: product requirements, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, AI deep research. Your job requires an amazing relationship with operations, development, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver new product features that critically impact the growth of our company.</p> <p><br><strong>What Will You Be Doing?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Understand high-level strategic initiatives and stakeholder requirements; identify opportunities; and translate inputs into buildable features with clear benefits</li> <li>Effectively communicate and share plans and decisions</li> <li>Partner with developers to break down product requirements into discrete tasks with clear functional requirements/acceptance criteria</li> <li>Assist QA team in understanding the appropriate positive and negative test cases to ensure test coverage and a high level of code quality</li> <li>Provide constant and iterative feedback to the development team, including identifying bugs and assisting in resolution</li> <li>Complete functional testing and provide initial product sign-off when features are ready for end-user verification</li> <li>Develop processes and tools for tracking usage trends and allow data to inform future development plans</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Requirements</strong><br>The Necessities</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of Product Management experience</li> <li>Exceptional business and systems analysis skills</li> <li>Ability to thoroughly understand and document business/functional requirements and use cases</li> <li>Consistent management of project work through the SDLC</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment to meet deadlines under tight time constraints</li> <li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment consisting of Product, Engineering, and QA resources</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, both in verbal and written formats</li> <li>Must have the ability to interface with internal stakeholders</li> <li>Experience with SQL, must be able to read it and write it to some provable extent</li> </ul> <p>The Extras</p> <ul> <li>Finance or retirement-plan knowledge</li> <li>Data-science degree</li> <li>Data warehousing experience</li> <li>Snowflake experience</li> <li>Former junior engineer</li> </ul> <p>This role will be based in either our New York or Austin office, and will be part of Vestwell's hybrid in-office operation.</p> <p>The expected base salary range for this position is $95K - $115K base. This position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and is eligible to receive new hire equity in the Company.
