GALE has eight offices around the world, including New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, Kansas City, London, and Bengaluru. GALE embraces a hybrid, flexible workplace About the Role We're looking for a Senior Associate, DevOps in Bengaluru to build, automate, secure, and operate the cloud platform behind our products. Our environment spans Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS, with GCP as our primary platform. You'll work across both, with most of your focus on GCP, partnering closely with software engineers throughout. This is a hands-on role with real ownership: you'll run infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes workloads end to end, and help shape how our teams ship and operate software as we scale. What You'll Do Cloud infrastructure (GCP and AWS) Provision and manage GCP infrastructure, including Compute Engine, VPC networks, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, Cloud Armor, Cloud Storage, and VPC Service Controls, following IAM and least-privilege principles. Maintain and support our AWS environments, keeping standards, tooling, and security consistent across both clouds. Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules so environments are provisioned consistently and repeatably. Containers and Kubernetes Deploy and operate workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), managing Helm charts and GitOps-based releases with ArgoCD. Tune cluster configuration for reliability, scalability, and cost. CI/CD and release engineering Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) with automated testing, code and container scanning, and promotion across dev, staging, and production. Automate build and release workflows to shorten deployment cycles and remove manual steps. Data and application platforms Support managed database and analytics services, including Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and BigQuery, covering access, backups, performance, and availability. Configure and maintain application stacks (NGINX and other web servers, middleware, databases) across Linux distributions. Observability, reliability, and security Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting using tools such as Datadog and Grafana. Take part in incident response and root-cause analysis, and drive fixes that prevent recurrence. Apply security best practices across the platform: IAM, secrets management, network segmentation, and patching. Continuous improvement Evaluate new tools and practices, document runbooks and architecture, and share knowledge across the engineering team. What You'll Bring 4-6 years of hands-on DevOps, cloud, or infrastructure experience in production environments. Strong experience with GCP core services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, IAM, and VPC networking. Working experience with AWS, including maintaining AWS-based infrastructure alongside GCP. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (ideally GKE), Helm, and ArgoCD. Proficiency with Terraform for provisioning infrastructure on GCP and AWS. Experience building and running CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, or Travis CI. Solid Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux). Scripting ability in Bash and Python. Experience with monitoring and observability tools, preferably Datadog and Grafana. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting web servers, particularly NGINX. Clear communication and the ability to work across engineering teams. Curiosity and adaptability in a fast-changing technology landscape. Nice to Have Google Cloud Professional certification (Cloud DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect) or an AWS equivalent. Configuration management experience with Ansible. Experience operating multi-cloud environments across GCP and AWS. Familiarity with cloud cost optimization (FinOps). Exposure to DevSecOps tooling such as SonarQube, Trivy, or Snyk. Why Join Us Take real, hands-on ownership of how our GCP and AWS infrastructure is built and run. Work with a modern stack: GKE, Terraform, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions. Join a collaborative, No Silos team with room to grow your skills and career. Competitive compensation and benefits.
