<h2><strong>Job Summary</strong></h2> <p>We are seeking a hands-on, high-impact Senior Technical Architect (Platform Backend) to lead the architecture, scaling, and continuous evolution of our core platform infrastructure. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of high-throughput transactional systems and cloud-native architecture. You will be responsible for driving high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD), establishing engineering guardrails, optimizing complex data pathways, and collaborating directly with product and engineering leaders to ensure absolute reliability, performance, and low latency at scale.</p> <h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2> <h3>System Design & Architectural Leadership:</h3> <ul> <li>Own the end-to-end High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for core platform services, asynchronous processing components, and enterprise ERP/bank integration adapters.</li> <li>Facilitate a smooth transition from monolithic legacy boundaries into clean, highly cohesive microservices domains without impacting uptime or data integrity.</li> <li>Establish architectural governance, lead Architecture Review Boards (ARBs), and review critical pull requests to safeguard code quality, clean architecture principles, and SOLID design patterns.</li> </ul> <h3>Scalability, Performance & Reliability:</h3> <ul> <li>Architect multi-tenant, cloud-native frameworks capable of handling high-concurrency and petabyte-scale financial transactions with strict SLAs.</li> <li>Diagnose and eliminate system bottlenecks across distributed transactions, locking models, memory management, and network payloads.</li> <li>Oversee zero-trust security compliance, fault-tolerance mechanisms, automated failover policies, and disaster recovery readiness.</li> </ul> <h3>Data & Integration Architecture:</h3> <ul> <li>Design robust relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and non-relational database schemas, complex indexing strategies, data partitioning models, and archival frameworks.</li> <li>Scale event-driven architectures utilizing Apache Kafka or similar messaging systems to manage reliable real-time data streaming and asynchronous decoupling.</li> <li>Optimize high-throughput caching architectures (using Redis) to minimize database overhead for intensive financial computations.</li> </ul> <h3>Engineering Culture & Execution:</h3> <ul> <li>Act as a technical multiplier by mentoring senior engineers, driving proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for emerging technologies, and cultivating an environment of fast, first-principles execution.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with Product Management to scope technical roadmaps, decompose epic requirements into modular milestones, and proactively mitigate technical debt.</li> </ul> <h2>Required Skills</h2> <p>A technically deep engineering/product leader with:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 12 - 16 years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years successfully operating in a Technical Architect or Principal Engineer capacity for enterprise SaaS products.</li> <li><strong>Core Backend Stack:</strong> Expert-level mastery of Java (Java 17+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and enterprise-grade backend frameworks. A profound understanding of JVM internals, garbage collection tuning, multi-threading, and high-concurrency programming models.</li> <li><strong>Distributed Systems & Messaging:</strong> Proven experience in building distributed microservices, RESTful APIs, gRPC, and event-driven architectures utilizing Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.</li> <li><strong>Database & Storage Expertise:</strong> Advanced proficiency in SQL and NoSQL storage engines (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis). Hands-on capability with query execution plans, partitioning, and database tuning under heavy write/read loads.</li> <li><strong>Cloud & DevOps Infrastructure:</strong> Solid production experience with AWS (or Azure/GCP), containerization technologies (Docker), cluster orchestration (Kubernetes), and enterprise CI/CD deployment pipelines.</li> </ul>
