<h1><strong>Role Description</strong></h1> <p>We are looking to recruit an exceptional Robotic System Integration Engineer to work on integrating, testing, and deploying our robotic solutions in the lab and in the field.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <ul> <li>Integrate and debug the robot power, actuation, wired/wireless network, and inertial/perception/force/torque/tactile sensing systems.</li> <li>Diagnose and resolve robotic system hardware and software integration issues related to kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, perception, and control.</li> <li>Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for full-robot systems and subsystems.</li> <li>Work with suppliers and external partners to integrate third-party components.</li> <li>Deploy field applications, drive integration with customer side systems, and manage system level integration in order to deliver customer success.<br>Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Author and maintain documentation for system architecture, integration, and debugging procedures.</li> <li>Contribute to defining integration best practices and improving development workflows.</li> </ul> <p>You will work closely with the Controls, Hardware, and Autonomy teams to ensure seamless integration and optimum performance.</p> <p><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></p> <h1><strong>Qualifications</strong></h1> <p><strong>Must-have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with industrial automation field buses (e.g., EtherCAT, CANOpen) and related debugging tools.</li> <li>Proven expertise in commissioning and fine-tuning actuation systems.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in creating and executing detailed test plans.</li> <li>Experience in requirements gathering, test system design, and test implementation.</li> <li>Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and/or Python.</li> <li>Familiarity with modern version control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub).</li> <li>Self-motivated, proactive problem solver with a proven ability to prioritize and address complex challenges effectively.</li> <li>Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment, with a flexible and collaborative approach.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency with tools like ROS2, Docker, and Ubuntu Linux.</li> <li>Experience deploying robotic solutions in production environments.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></li> <li>Hands on experience with algorithms for Perception, Motion Planning, Manipulation, or Robot Learning</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
