We're expanding our EU footprint - with growing market access, a regional roadmap, and ambitions across equities, ETFs, derivatives, direct connectivity, securities lending, tax reporting, and tax-wrapper products. We're hiring a Product Manager to own that expansion end-to-end: define the strategy, ship the products, and work with regulators, partners, and internal teams to make Alpaca the brokerage platform of choice across the EU. We're seeking a Product Manager to define and drive new product initiatives and manage a portfolio of existing products across EU markets. With a deep understanding of the regional regulatory landscape, including MiFID II / MiFIR, ESMA, CSDR, national competent-authority frameworks, and member-state tax and tax-wrapper regimes, you will shape the product strategy that enables Alpaca to scale its brokerage infrastructure across the EU. This role is equal parts strategy and delivery. You'll decide what we build versus buy, how we sequence the region’s roadmap, and which partnerships and connectivity paths get us there - and then ship the brokerage features, tax-wrapper functionality, integrations, and operational workflows that partners and institutional clients depend on every day. What You'll Walk Into You won't be starting from zero. You'll be owning live problems: <ul> <li>EU market access: scaling from initial access to full product coverage while meeting MiFID II / MiFIR, ESMA, and local NCA requirements.</li> <li>The rest of the EU roadmap: prioritizing and delivering the next wave of brokerage capabilities across equities, ETFs, and regional market needs.</li> <li>EU direct connectivity: building and owning connectivity to EU venues and market infrastructure, reducing reliance on intermediary paths.</li> <li>EU broker partnerships: evaluating, onboarding, and integrating local brokers to expand coverage and resilience.</li> <li>Cross-border complexity: passporting, multi-jurisdiction onboarding, and coordinating between Alpaca's global platform and EU market infrastructure.</li> <li>Tax and tax wrappers: building tax-wrapper account functionality (e.g. PEA / PEA-PME, ISK, PIR) and the tax surface underneath it - tax lots / cost basis, dividend withholding, WHT reclaim, and country-specific tax reporting - so partners can offer jurisdiction-specific wrappers on Alpaca, not just a generic brokerage account.</li> </ul>   Things You Get To Do <ul> <li>Own brokerage products tailored for EU markets, including equities, ETFs, tax-wrapper accounts, and related regional offerings.</li> <li>Own the EU tax and tax-wrapper product surface end-to-end: wrapper eligibility and contribution rules, tax-lot / cost-basis tracking, withholding and reclaim, and the local reporting files partners and end-users need to stay compliant.</li> <li>Drive brokerage product strategy by analyzing ROI, regional market competition, regulatory requirements, and build-vs-buy scenarios.</li> <li>Build and execute the product roadmap with a focus on MiFID II / MiFIR-compliant features and regional market needs.</li> <li>Write product requirements and work with engineers to execute programs that meet local regulatory and market standards.</li> <li>Improve brokerage operation efficiency by providing solutions and owning the metrics, with a focus on regional settlement, custody, and clearing workflows.</li> <li>Lead customer calls around brokerage process and product issues to gain insights and translate them into product improvements for EU clients.</li> <li>Report timely and accurately on product status and results to internal and external stakeholders, including regional partners and institutional clients.</li> <li>Collaborate with local operations teams to ensure seamless integration between Alpaca's global platform and EU market infrastructure.</li> </ul>   Who You Are (Must-Haves) <ul> <li>Excited about what Alpaca is building and passionate about expanding financial infrastructure across the EU.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or equivalent.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Consulting, and/or starting a startup, preferably within financial services or fintech.</li> <li>Demonstrated interest and experience in brokerage, capital markets, or fintech within the EU.</li> <li>Strong understanding of MiFID II / MiFIR, ESMA, the EU capital markets landscape, and how member-state tax and tax-wrapper rules shape product design.</li> <li>Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with excellent collaboration abilities.</li> <li>Business acumen to understand tradeoffs between stakeholders and technology feasibility with time and budget constraints.</li> </ul>   Who You Might Be (Nice-to-Haves) <ul> <li>Experience and background working on and developing brokerage products in EU markets.</li> <li>Technical background working with APIs, particularly in financial services or trading platforms.</li> <li>Familiarity with CSDR, EMIR, T2S, or CSD connectivity.</li> <li>Hands-on experience shipping tax-wrapper or tax-reporting products (e.g. PEA / PEA-PME, ISK, PIR), including tax lots, withholding, and local reporting files.</li> <li>Experience working with cross-border / passporting investment products.</li> <li>Additional EU language(s) beyond English.</li> <li>Experience working at a fintech, startup, or EU-authorized investment firm.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h3>How We Take Care of You:</h3> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">Competitive Salary & Stock Options</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Health Benefits</li> <li style="font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">New Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500</li> <li style="font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex Card</li> </ul> Alpaca is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce. <a href="https://files.alpaca.markets/disclosures/AlpacaRecruitmentPrivacyPolicy.pdf">Recruitment Privacy Policy</a></div>
