Imagine having the power to stress-test an entire power grid against a hurricane or thunderstorm before the clouds even gather. That is the reality we are creating at Neara. We use advanced machine learning to create engineering-grade, physics enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, this helps asset owners understand their biggest challenges and bring the most viable solutions to life across millions of kilometres of infrastructure. By simulating extreme weather and structural stress at a network-wide scale, we empower the world’s largest utilities to pinpoint risks, optimise investments and build a more resilient global energy future. Our team is a collection of brilliant minds who are fanatical about making a tangible difference in the real world, utilising AI and machine learning to accelerate everything from data classification to complex scenario analysis. We have built a special culture where innovation thrives because everyone owns the mission and we need smart, creative people to help us scale this impact to every corner of the globe. What it means to be a Product Manager at Neara When you build the right product at Neara, the signal is unmistakable: A US utility defers 25,000 pole replacements to 4,000 without compromising safety; SA Power Networks restores power in five days instead of three weeks; an Australian utility compresses 36 months of transmission design into four. You own your piece of why those outcomes happen. The PM problems here are genuinely hard: making a physics engine feel intuitive to an asset engineer; sequencing six solution areas - wildfire, flood, resilience, asset management, design, capacity - across customers on five continents with different regulatory contexts and using AI to meaningfully transform how our customers manage the grid. The opportunity is enormous and we want someone to go find it with us and our customers, not wait to be handed it. We don't do hypothetical, and neither should you. We're hiring Principal Product Managers across two tracks: Applications & Platform . Great candidates share the same craft fundamentals, with the track reflecting where your experience runs deepest. What You'll Do Own a meaningful slice of roadmap end-to-end: from discovery and prioritisation through to delivery and commercial impact measurement. Lead cross-team initiatives spanning multiple engineering squads; creating alignment and momentum across ambiguous, high-stakes problems. Be the connective tissue between customers, engineering, UX, sales, and leadership - Translating competing inputs into clear product direction. Build the business case for your bets: KPI frameworks, economic models, and clear lines of sight from product investment to revenue outcomes. Raise the standard of PM craft across the team; mentoring peers and contributing to how the broader organisation thinks about product. What You'll Bring A track record of shipping complex B2B software in high-growth environments - Not just feature delivery, but genuine product leadership. Commercial rigour: you connect roadmap decisions to revenue, retention, and market expansion, and you hold yourself accountable to those outcomes. Technical fluency sufficient to be a credible partner to engineers, understanding trade-offs, not just translating requirements. The ability to lead without authority: influence executives, customers, and engineers through clarity, judgment, and trust. Self-direction and ownership: Ability to create momentum without waiting for the perfect brief. Two Tracks, One Standard Tell us which track fits - We assess PM Craft first, specialisation second. Applications Product Manager Customer-facing product experience and market expansion You're most at home when you're close to the customer — synthesising discovery into product bets, partnering with sales and CS, and connecting features directly to ARR and expansion. Ideal background: B2B SaaS product ownership with commercial accountability, especially in enterprise or technical verticals. Platform Product Manager Core platform capabilities and reusable components, reliability, and technical scalability You think in systems, comfortable reasoning about product and engineering trade-offs, as well as platform health alongside engineers. You bring structure to complexity and hold the bar on reliability as well as new capability. Ideal background: technical PM or engineering background, with a track record of sharp prioritisation across competing demands. Why work here Competitive salary + ESOP. Significant career development and growth opportunities. Fully flexible working arrangements with a well-stocked office in Redfern. Annual company-wide offsite. Highly meritocratic, non-bureaucratic, and no-ego work culture. The opportunity to work on complex, meaningful products and real-world problems. The opportunity to play a direct, critical role in the trajectory of a high growth company. Neara values diversity, belonging, and equal employment opportunities. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply. #LI-LB1
