As the company continues to grow, they are looking for a skilled Mechanical Estimator to support their pre-construction operations and help deliver accurate, competitive project estimates. About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator / Pre-Construction Support Specialist with experience in commercial mechanical construction estimating. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical estimating and pre-construction coordination, with a strong understanding of HVAC ductwork and mechanical piping systems. You'll work closely with Project Managers to prepare competitive bids, perform accurate quantity takeoffs, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, and support projects throughout the pre-construction phase. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for commercial mechanical systems, including ductwork and piping for new installations. Prepare detailed material estimates using company pricing templates and Excel-based estimating tools. Assist with bid preparation, proposal documentation, and pre-construction planning. Manage RFIs, submittals, specification reviews, and code revisions throughout the bidding process. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing, product information, and quotations. Review project plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify scope and potential risks. Maintain organized estimating records and documentation. Collaborate with Project Managers while working independently in a fast-paced remote environment. Utilize construction management platforms such as Procore and digital takeoff software throughout the estimating process. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical field (preferred). 2–3 years of professional experience estimating commercial mechanical construction projects in the US market. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical construction methods. Experience performing digital quantity takeoffs from construction drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining estimating templates. Experience using Procore or similar construction management software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Comfortable working full-time during US Eastern Time business hours. Preferred Qualifications Experience independently creating or improving estimating spreadsheets and pricing templates. Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical systems and construction workflows. Experience coordinating directly with vendors and subcontractors during the bidding process. Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
