Backed by $40MM in Series A funding, Ohr is building its new headquarters in Greater Denver-Boulder, Colorado, and we are seeking a Manager, People Operations to build the people infrastructure that a new worksite and growing national team require. You will own end-to-end people operations and support managers and employees across our Colorado headquarters and remote workforce nationwide, working hand in hand with the Head of People & Talent to establish our Colorado worksite and onboard roughly 50 local hires by mid-2027. This is a 6-month temporary engagement designed to convert. Once the facility is open and running, this role is intended to become a permanent full-time position based in our Colorado space in 2027. Collaboration is our multiplier. 02 What you'll design and build ▪ Own people operations: Run the employee lifecycle end to end, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HRIS administration, and day-to-day employee support ▪ Stand up the Colorado worksite: Partner with the Head of People & Talent to establish the policies, programs, postings, leave practices, and people operations required for our new Colorado headquarters, preparing the site to onboard ~50 local hires through Q2–Q3 2027 ▪ Administer the PEO relationship: Serve as Ohr's primary operator within our PEO for payroll, benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee inquiries ▪ Manage multi-state people operations: Coordinate requirements across our remote and hybrid workforce, including state registrations, leave, pay transparency, and policy alignment, partnering with our PEO and outside experts as needed ▪ Serve as HRBP: Be a trusted partner to managers and employees on performance, employee relations, policy interpretation, and workplace questions, with sound judgment and discretion ▪ Build systems that scale: Document and improve people processes so they hold up as headcount grows 03 What you bring with you ▪ 5+ years in people operations or HR generalist roles, with HRBP experience in a startup or hyper-growth company ▪ Working knowledge of multi-state employment compliance, with Colorado experience strongly preferred ▪ Hands-on experience administering a PEO (TriNet or similar), benefits, and payroll ▪ Meticulous and process-minded, with the judgment to handle sensitive matters well ▪ A warm, direct communicator who people trust ▪ Fluent with modern HR tools, and comfortable using AI and automation to work more effectively ▪ Based in the Greater Denver / Boulder area, or willing to commute Additive ▪ Experience opening a new worksite or supporting a company through a relocation ▪ Experience in life sciences, chemistry, or manufacturing environments ▪ SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar 04 Working requirements Ability to work hybrid in the Greater Denver / Boulder area now, and regularly onsite at our Colorado headquarters once open. Ability to travel locally using a personal vehicle as needed. 05 Compensation & benefits $48–$58/hr during the temp term; $90K–$110K base + equity on conversion. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Eligible for Ohr's benefits through our PEO, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and paid time off, upon conversion to permanent employment, subject to plan eligibility and waiting periods.
