We want people who experiment without waiting for permission, push AI beyond the obvious, know when to trust it, and when to question it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Join Qonto's dynamic Legal team as a Legal Intern (Product & AI) for a 6-month internship starting January 2027, where you'll dive into the cutting-edge world of fintech law. You'll work alongside Charlotte , our Head of Legal (Commercial & Product For French Market), to tackle diverse legal challenges in product development and emerging regulations — with direct impact on Qonto's growth and innovation across Europe. ➡️ What you'll do Draft and negotiate product contracts: Assist in negotiating and drafting contracts for new Qonto products, ensuring legal compliance for the launch of new features across payment and financial tool platforms. Apply banking law to real products: Conduct banking law analysis and assess how regulations apply to Qonto products and features, then draft the customer contracts that bring them to market. Navigate AI regulation: Analyze and apply emerging frameworks like the EU AI Act, ensuring Qonto's AI implementations comply with transparency, fairness, and accountability requirements. Collaborate across teams: Work with Regulatory, Product, Strategy, and Growth to ensure legal compliance while actively supporting business objectives. Contribute to proactive legal management: Help the team stay ahead of legal priorities rather than reacting to them. ➡️ What we're looking for The right academic background: You hold or are completing a Master 2 in French Business Law, or you've passed the bar exam and are seeking your PPI internship. Sector experience: You've had previous internship or work experience in tech, fintech, or banking. Strong contract skills: You can draft and negotiate contracts with precision and a business-oriented lens. Regulatory familiarity: You have a working knowledge of banking, payments, and data protection regulations. French and English fluency: You communicate clearly in both languages — a third European language is a definite plus. ➡️ What we can offer you Frontline fintech law: You'll work on the legal questions that sit at the intersection of product launches, financial regulation, and AI — rarely available at this level. Real cross-functional exposure: You'll collaborate directly with Product, Strategy, Regulatory, and Growth — not just the legal team. AI regulatory experience before it's mainstream: The EU AI Act is new territory for everyone; you'll build expertise in it from the inside. A lean, high-trust team: With 7 legal professionals covering all of Europe, your contributions will be visible and impactful from day one. ➡️ Your future manager You'll work directly with Charlotte , our Head of Legal (Commercial & Product For French Market), and the team. This team setup will give you strong mentorship, close teamwork, and the chance to learn from experienced professionals who combine deep legal expertise with practical fintech and product knowledge.
