Summary  We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Game UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Game UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the overall player experience. You will have a direct impact on how players interact with our games, ensuring that our interfaces are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.  Core Responsibilities  <ul> <li>Influence overall UI art styles and creative direction through your work. </li> <li>Create and implement UI artwork within defined look & feel. </li> <li>Design and implement user interfaces that are intuitive, responsive, and visually engaging. </li> <li>Create vector artwork, iconography, and export rasterized assets that are high quality and optimized for the game. </li> <li>Collaborate with game designers, artists, and engineers to ensure UI/UX meets project requirements. </li> <li>Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts. </li> <li>Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine UI/UX designs. </li> <li>Ensure consistency and adherence to UI/UX best practices across the game. </li> <li>Optimize UI for different platforms, including PC, consoles, and mobile devices. </li> <li>Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into your work. </li> </ul> Core Qualifications  <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in UI/UX design within the video game industry. </li> <li>Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar. </li> <li>Experience implementing UI/UX in Unreal. </li> <li>Strong understanding of user-centered design principles. </li> <li>Experience with responsive design and adaptive layouts. </li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. </li> <li>Strong portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX design work in games. </li> <li>Possess a strong graphic design background and/or understanding of design principles. </li> <li>A strong understanding of systems design, UI style, layout, and 2D fundamentals. </li> </ul> Plus if...  <ul> <li>Experience with motion graphics and animation for UI elements. </li> <li>Knowledge of front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). </li> <li>Previous work on AAA titles or high-profile indie games. </li> </ul> Description  <ul> <li>Full-time job with benefits. </li> <li>Role is on-site in Santa Monica, CA. </li> <li>Office is located near downtown Santa Monica – near metro and freeway. </li> </ul> The base pay range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000 per year.
