About the Role The Chinese Growth Center drives growth across Chinese-speaking markets. This role sits close to the center of decision-making, supporting the Head of CGC directly on high-priority cross-functional initiatives. The immediate focus is the practical application of AI in business operations — identifying where AI can drive real productivity gains, and making it actually happen. Beyond the AI workstream, this role will evolve to cover other strategic initiatives over time. This is a role for someone who takes ownership end-to-end. You will be expected to get your hands dirty, move fast, and deliver — not just coordinate. What You'll Do Near-term: AI Application & Productivity Initiative * Drive the full lifecycle of AI initiatives hands-on — from scoping and tool research to solution design, testing, and rollout * Work across teams to embed AI tools into real business workflows and track measurable outcomes * Identify blockers early and solve them proactively, without waiting to be directed * Stay current on emerging AI tools and synthesize findings into repeatable best practices for the team Ongoing: Cross-functional Strategic Initiatives * Own progress tracking and delivery management for key initiatives, keeping milestones on track and quality high * Build lightweight dashboards and reporting to keep the Head of CGC informed and decisions moving * Pick up new initiatives quickly, build context fast, and deliver in ambiguous or fast-changing situations * Surface collaboration friction across teams and drive alignment where needed What We're Looking For Requirements * Fluent in Chinese (written and spoken) at a professional level — this is a working requirement for the role * Bachelor's degree or above * Practical experience with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Midjourney) — able to speak to specific use cases and outcomes Qualities that will set you apart * Ownership over everything: You follow through without being followed up on * Hands-on by default: You do the research, build the doc, test the tool yourself — you don't delegate the groundwork * Steady under pressure: You can manage multiple workstreams in parallel and still deliver quality * Genuinely into AI: You use it, you think about it, you explore it on your own — not just familiar with it in theory * Clear, direct communicator: You cut to the point, structure your thinking, and make it easy for others to act on what you share Good to have * Experience in internet, content, e-commerce, or growth-related roles * Background in cross-functional project management or initiative delivery * Hands-on with Prompt Engineering or workflow automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n) * Familiarity with Chinese-speaking market dynamics and user behavior Our Working Culture We move fast and hold a high bar for delivery.
