Who You Are: You are the kind of designer who gets a thrill from seeing your work on a shelf, in a mailbox, or ten feet tall at an event. You're fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and AI programs. You're organized down to your file names: a dozen projects can be in flight and you still hit your deadlines and catch the details others miss. You take feedback as fuel, share credit generously, and jump in wherever the team needs hands. The Task At Hand: This role brings the Once Upon a Farm brand to life everywhere parents and kids meet us — on the shelf, in the cooler, in the mailbox, on the phone, and out in the world. You’ll concept and design packaging, print, and digital work across a growing portfolio and a fast-expanding retail footprint. This is a hands-on maker’s role with real range: one week you’re concepting new package artwork, the next you’re checking press files or building signage for a live activation. If you want your work in front of millions of families nationwide, this is the seat. This role reports to the VP of Creative + Community on the Marketing Team. In This Role, You Will: Print Design Design DTC insert catalogs and postcards that make opening a box feel like a gift Design signage for activations and experiential events — booths, banners, backdrops, wayfinding, and giveaways Design signage for retail stores and out-of-home media, from cooler and shelf graphics to billboards and transit Design any other print items as needed for the brand Creative Packaging Design Lead creative concepting for package artwork across cartons, pouches, labels, film, and cases Concept and iterate rapidly with emerging design & AI tools, bringing packaging ideas to life without compromising brand accuracy, craft, or premium feel. Update older package designs with new interpretations of our look and feel, keeping the portfolio cohesive as the brand evolves Digital Design Design assets for retail partners, including sell-in materials, sell-sheets, coupons, and shopper marketing creative Work with the Digital Graphic Designer as needed to help design ads, social media graphics, and email creative that stop the scroll and still feel unmistakably us Build and maintain templates and design systems so the team can move fast without drifting off brand Design any other digital items as needed for the brand Production & Vendor Relations Communicate with printers and print vendors on bids, file uploads, and press checks Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional partners to deliver press-ready and digital-ready files on spec and on time Guide freelance designers and illustrators with creative briefs and reviews that help them be efficient and successful Brand Guidelines & Team Collaboration Understand and apply brand guidelines across every asset — and help push them forward with regular updates to our Brand Guideline file Partner with creative teammates, brand, sales, and cross-functional stakeholders to turn briefs into work that hits the business objective, and turn projects around quickly based on feedback Bring ideas beyond the brief — concepts for campaigns, packaging, and brand moments we haven’t thought of yet Work on multiple projects at once and consistently meet draft deadlines Organize and maintain all assets and working files In This Role, You’ll Bring With You: 3+ years of graphic design experience, ideally in CPG, food and beverage, or a fast-growing consumer brand BA in Graphic Design or a related field preferred; a strong portfolio matters more than the degree — please include one Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma Fluent in Claude, ChatGPT, and current AI design plug-ins - producing photo-realistic renders of packaging, out-of-home, and in-store experiential, and cutting executional time to make room for design work. Motion/video skills a plus Knowledge and understanding of modern design principles, with strong typography and layout craft Highly organized with strong time management skills; able to juggle multiple projects, prioritize, and hit deadlines with strong attention to detail Comfortable working in a collaborative environment where each team member chips in on a variety of tasks Energized by a fast-moving environment where priorities shift, volume is real, and process still matters Highly communicative/receptive in a fast-moving remote environment: ie flagging risks early, transparency, clear communication Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter Genuinely passionate about improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet Desire to contribute to a dynamic, high-growth, purpose-driven work environment Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Marketing preferred Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position Compensation: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, stipends, and role-specific perks.
