We are looking for a detail-oriented team player with a passion for workplace design to take ownership of global workplace design and project execution. Joining the Workplace team, you will report to the Head of Global Workplace & Real Estate and execute both short- and long-term projects to support Asana’s global expansion. The Workplace team supports every Asana by creating welcoming, comfortable, and inclusive environments where everyone can perform at their best. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements. <h3 data-path-to-node="6">What you’ll achieve</h3> <ul data-path-to-node="7"> <li> Lead the planning and execution of all new office builds, construction, and reconfigurations across global temporary (co-working) and leased spaces. </li> <li> Develop, maintain, and implement workplace design and graphic standards across all office locations. </li> <li> Collaborate closely with local Workplace leads to ensure design alignment, seamless office expansion, and high end-user satisfaction. </li> <li> Oversee design-related purchasing, including global furniture vendor management, quotes, and procurement. </li> <li> Source local furniture and environmental branding vendors globally, maintaining a resource directory and assisting site leads as needed. </li> <li> Manage project budgets, billing, CAPEX and OPEX cost roll-ups, and annual financial tracking. </li> <li> Oversee global occupancy and space planning, act as the space planning software administrator, and deliver monthly analytics, test fits, and occupancy projections. </li> <li> Drive the workflow for desk moves and department relocations while providing ongoing training and support to site leads and space captains. </li> </ul> <h3 data-path-to-node="8">About you</h3> <ul data-path-to-node="9"> <li> Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making. </li> <li> 6–8+ years of experience in space planning, interior design, and project management. </li> <li> Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related technical field. </li> <li> Proven proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with SketchUp or OfficeSpace is a plus. </li> <li> Meticulous planner and problem-solver who effectively prioritizes and manages multiple simultaneous projects under tight schedules. </li> <li> Strong cross-functional communicator skilled in building collaborative relationships across all levels and managing global vendors across time zones. </li> <li> Experienced in managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets, financial tracking, and transparent project status reporting. </li> <li> Portfolio or website demonstrating experience in office design, environmental graphics, and spatial planning. </li> </ul> At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $121,000 - $138,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
