This is a zero-to-one build with no legacy constraints. You're not joining to maintain someone else's code. You're here to build live streaming and gaming experiences that set a new bar for the industry, from the ground up for the Beast community. You'll work across the full stack, frontend and backend, to deliver features at a speed that wasn't possible before AI, and help shape a product that millions of users will experience in real time.</p> <p><strong>The Product</strong></p> <p>You'll be working, as part of a small and fast-moving team, on one of the most technically demanding parts of the product: a live and game stack where traffic is unpredictable and user expectations are unforgiving. Workloads are bursty and correlated: fan-out events drive synchronized connection storms that stress-test every layer of the stack, from load balancers to live streaming service to stateful game servers to database write throughput. That means:</p> <ul> <li>Real-time features (video playback, messaging, leaderboards, in-game interactions) that must stay correct and fast under spike-driven load.&nbsp;</li> <li>A client experience that needs to feel seamless across devices, network conditions, and concurrent user spikes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Code that lives in production and gets stress-tested every time a creator moment drives a traffic surge.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build and ship live and game features across the full stack using AI coding tools, contributing to a velocity that redefines what a small engineering team can deliver.&nbsp;</li> <li>Take ownership of your features end to end, from development through deployment, using AI-facilitated QA processes and tooling to maintain high engineering quality.&nbsp;</li> <li>Write clean, reliable, and performant code with a strong sense of accountability for what you ship in production.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate closely with your teammates, contributing to a culture of high standards, fast iteration, and continuous learning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>AI-Native: </strong>You're already burning through tokens and using AI coding agents daily to move faster.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li> <li><strong>Full Stack Engineer: </strong>3+ years of hands-on experience building consumer-facing products across frontend and backend, with comfort moving between client and server as the product demands.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li> <li><strong>Real-Time Enthusiast: </strong>You have genuine interest or experience in live streaming, gaming, or real-time systems. You understand why latency matters and you care about the user experience under load.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li> <li><strong>Ownership Mindset: </strong>You take pride in what you ship, follow through on production issues, and don't consider a feature done until it's running reliably in the hands of users.</li> </ul> <p>Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in at least one backend language (Node.js, Go, Java, Rust, or equivalent) and one frontend framework.
