Founding Engineer/ Tech Lead (Stablecoin Cross-border Payments Infrastructure)

<div><strong>Role Overview</strong><br><br>We are hiring a senior-level <strong>Founding Engineer</strong> to take end-to-end ownership of a new <strong>Stablecoin </strong>Cross-border<strong> Payments product</strong>. This is a high-ownership role where you will define the architecture, build core backend systems, and drive the technical execution of the product from zero to scale.<br><br>You will work closely with the founder to shape system design, technical strategy, and engineering direction while also laying the groundwork for future team expansion.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div> <ul> <li>Own the end-to-end design and development of payments backend infrastructure</li> <li>Architect scalable systems for payment processing, ledgering, and settlement flows</li> <li>Build production-grade backend systems with strong focus on reliability and security</li> <li>Define engineering standards, architecture patterns, and system design principles</li> <li>Collaborate directly with the founder on technical roadmap and product direction</li> <li>Support hiring and help build a high-quality engineering team</li> <li>Ensure systems are robust, observable, and capable of scaling globally</li> </ul> <div><br><strong>Requirements:</strong></div> <ul> <li>Tech Lead / Staff Engineer level, with strong hands-on engineering capability and ownership of system design and execution.</li> <li>Strong hands-on experience building <strong>payment backend/ infra systems (must-have)</strong></li> <li>Deep understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture</li> <li>Ability to operate independently in a zero-to-one environment</li> <li>Strong English communication skills</li> <li>Comfortable working with partial APAC time zone overlap</li> </ul> <div><br><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></div> <ul> <li>Exposure to Web3, stablecoins, or blockchain-based payments</li> <li>Experience in fintech, cross-border payments, or ledger systems</li> <li>Prior startup experience or early-stage product building</li> </ul>
