L.P.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>DUTIES: </strong>Evaluate sustainability and climate-related risks and opportunities associated with existing and potential investments to enhance long-term portfolio resilience and value creation. Assess financial and operational implications of environmental factors, including capital expenditures required for portfolio companies to comply with sustainability and climate-related regulations. Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior management regarding climate risk integration, investment risk mitigation, and sustainability priorities, ensuring alignment with overall business and investment objectives. Collaborate with centralized operating, legal, compliance, and public policy teams to support the implementation of firmwide operational standards, governance frameworks, and best practices related to sustainability and other topics across real estate investment and asset management activities. Partner with internal operating and data teams to help standardize sustainability-related and other operational reporting, performance metrics, and information flows that support senior management oversight and enterprise decision-making. Engage with senior management to communicate findings, discuss investment implications, and advise on firmwide strategies that incorporate sustainability and climate considerations into decision-making. Lead the design and implementation of sustainability initiatives approved by senior management, including projects related to climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and fund-level net-zero commitments. Set strategic priorities and manage sustainability programs across multiple asset classes, including tracking initiatives, progress, and performance against defined goals, and overseeing related budgets and resource allocation. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, portfolio companies, and external consultants to ensure consistent implementation of sustainability programs and integration of environmental considerations into investment processes. Review and analyze sustainability data, including energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and natural resource usage, and prepare reports and presentations summarizing key insights and recommendations for senior management and investment committees. Identify and define sustainability factors and performance metrics necessary to enhance environmental programs, and review analyses conducted by external advisors and specialized consultants to ensure technical accuracy, feasibility, and consistency with firmwide strategic goals. Leverage internal and external data sources to identify environmental and climate risks affecting investments, particularly in real assets, and provide recommendations to senior management to inform investment decisions and strengthen risk management frameworks. Collaborate with industry professionals across the limited partner (LP) and general partner (GP) landscape, maintaining relationships with global asset managers, investment partners, and asset owners to align on sustainability expectations, data transparency, and value creation objectives. Develop and maintain materials to communicate sustainability and climate initiatives internally and externally, ensuring alignment of messaging and engagement with senior management and key stakeholders. Monitor evolving market trends, climate policies, and regulatory developments to provide forward-looking recommendations that support the firm’s sustainability, climate resilience, and long-term investment strategy. Contribute to real asset platform initiatives focused on operational strategy and efficiency by providing analytical support for portfolio oversight, execution consistency, and cross-asset operating performance, including consideration of sustainability-related factors where relevant. This position requires up to 10% travel (domestic and international) to participate in round table discussions with other industry/peer groups.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong> This position requires a Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Sustainability/Science, Biology, or related field of study plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience as a Sustainable Investing Director/Principal, Sustainability Advice & Solutions Associate, Responsible Investment Manager/Analyst, Research & Sustainability Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Sustainability/Science, Biology, or related field of study plus eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or eight (8) years of experience as a Sustainable Investing Director/Principal, Sustainability Advice & Solutions Associate, Responsible Investment Manager/Analyst, Research & Sustainability Analyst, or related occupation.</p> <p> </p> <p>This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skill: preparing and presenting analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior management to inform investment, risk management, and sustainability strategies.</p> <p> </p> <p>This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following skills: evaluating sustainability and climate-related risks and opportunities within the responsible investment landscape to enhance long-term portfolio resilience and value creation; and developing and implementing sustainability frameworks to identify, assess, and monitor environmental and climate risks across investment portfolios and asset-level transactions.</p> <p> </p> <p>This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: conducting financial and operational analyses to connect sustainability initiatives with measurable financial outcomes across real estate portfolios, including clear linkages to value creation and risk mitigation; assessing capital expenditures and operating costs required for compliance with environmental and climate-related regulations and integrating such assessments into investment decision-making; applying knowledge of global sustainability-related regulations, environmental disclosure frameworks, and building performance standards that address greenhouse gas emissions, building energy efficiency, environmental disclosure, and climate risk management (including Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark [GRESB] and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design [LEED] regional building performance standards) to evaluate portfolio exposure and compliance obligations; facilitating projects across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including investment teams, external partners, and consultants; managing internal teams and large groups of external advisors to ensure cohesive global execution of complex sustainability and climate initiatives; overseeing program budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure strategic alignment with organizational priorities; and collaborating with industry professionals across the limited partner (LP) and general partner (GP) landscape, including maintaining relationships with global asset managers, investment partners, and asset owners to align on sustainability expectations, data transparency, and long-term value creation objectives.</p> <p> </p> <p>This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: preparing and presenting sustainability and climate-related analyses and reports to cross-divisional teams, including senior management and investment committees; using Microsoft PowerPoint and comparable presentation tools to synthesize and communicate complex sustainability data and recommendations; tracking and reporting on sustainability initiatives and key performance indicators to measure progress against strategic goals; and monitoring evolving global sustainability, environmental, and climate policies and market developments to provide forward-looking insights that support program and investment decision-making.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>30 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001.
