<p> <strong>Headquarters:</strong> Bridgetown, Saint Michael, Barbados <br /><strong>URL:</strong> <a href="http://thehivecareers.co">http://thehivecareers.co</a> </p> <div class="mt-5"> <div class="redactor-styles"> <h3>Job brief</h3> <p>The ideal candidate will guide DevOps teams on speed of delivery, improving quality/security of code, and optimizing processes.</p> <p>Job Level: Full-Time/Remote</p> <p>Location: Barbados</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul><li>Mentors and coaches the technical team.</li><li>Constantly looking for better ways of solving technical problems and<br>designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo.</li><li>Provides the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality Identifies bottlenecks in coding development and deployment processes.</li><li>Leads planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects.</li><li>Executes on plan by building coding standardizations and automating processes for the organization.</li><li>Leads knowledge growth effort of platform configuration management and troubleshooting Leads DevOps team in delivering<br>consistent and holistic solution to the organization</li><li>Collaborates with the rest of DevOps team to deliver consistent and holistic solution to the organization.</li><li>Excellent coding and scripting skills (Bash, Per) and experience with<br>implementing high scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud-based container platforms (PaaS/SaaS) .</li></ul> <h3>Requirements</h3> <ul><li>Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and cluster management tools like Kubernetes.</li><li>Experience with containers such as Docker, OpenShift and continuous integration and related tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar, etc.</li><li>Experience in Agile Development, with specific Solution Architect (or<br>similar) experience preferred.</li><li>Experience as a DevOps or SRE Lead on a cross functional agile team.</li><li>Excited about trying new solutions outside standard approved.</li><li>Embraces a culture of trust, free thought complete transparency.</li><li>Brave and rebellious, willing to challenge status quo.</li></ul> </div> </div> <p><strong>To apply:</strong> <a href="https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/thehivecareers-co-devops-engineer-remote">https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/thehivecareers-co-devops-engineer-remote</a></p>
