The ideal candidate is passionate about blockchain, privacy, and disrupting the status quo.</p><p></p><br><br><strong>Requirements</strong><br><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Protocol Reliability: Ensure availability of our services, specifically targeting 99.99% system uptime for critical blockchain infrastructure. Response to incidents and identify potential issues in a timely manner.</li><li>Blockchain Ops: Develop and maintain open source tools to manage a Cardano and Midnight infrastructure in a multi-cloud or bare metal hybrid environment (AWS, Google Cloud, and bare metal).</li><li>Pre-Launch Defense: Actively troubleshoot issues during testing and deployment, catching and solving protocol-level bottlenecks before mainnet upgrades.</li><li>CI/CD Mastery: Build and maintain pipelines for Midnight projects using GitHub Actions and other tools to ensure a secure software development life cycle.</li><li>On-Call &amp; Incident Response: Participate in the on-call rota, providing rapid mitigation for production system interruptions.</li><li>Scaling: Plan, coordinate, and manage the progressive transition from a foundation-coordinated federated validator model to a fully decentralized validator network.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Experience: 5+ years in a DevOps/SRE role, with direct experience in blockchain infrastructure.</li><li>Linux Mastery: Strong experience with Linux-based systems and administration.</li><li>Orchestration: Working knowledge of container environments and Kubernetes orchestration.</li><li>Observability Stack: Proficient with Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools for real-time monitoring.</li><li>Technical Scripting: Expert in shell scripting, with knowledge of systems languages, Rust, Go and Python.</li><li>Cloud &amp; IaC: Extensive experience configuring, scaling, monitoring, and tuning services in AWS/GC.</li><li>Documentation: Proven ability to write clear operational designs and blameless post-mortems.</li><li>CI/CD: Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools, like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul><li>Node Operations: Previous experience running and maintaining Cardano stake pools or partner chain nodes.</li><li>Advanced Ops: Experience with tools like GitOps workflows and Nix for reproducible builds.</li><li>Node Operations: Previous experience running and maintaining Cardano stake pools or partner chain nodes.</li><li>Advanced Ops: Experience with tools like GitOps workflows and Nix for reproducible builds.</li></ul> <p><strong>To apply:</strong> <a href="https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/io-global-devops-engineer-midnight-foundation">https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/io-global-devops-engineer-midnight-foundation</a></p>
