DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) (Freelance/Service Agreement)

<p>We are looking for an experienced <strong>DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)</strong> to support Flix on a project basis through a service agreement collaboration. The consultant will provide expertise in designing, automating, monitoring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for our Cloud Platform team within the Foundation Division.</p> <p>The Cloud Platform team provides tools, infrastructure, expertise, and best practices that enable software engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate secure, robust, and efficient applications with minimal operational overhead.</p> <p><strong>Scope of Services</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure running on AWS and Kubernetes</li> <li>Support the further development of Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform</li> <li>Automate operational processes and infrastructure workflows using scripting or programming languages such as Bash, Python, or Go</li> <li>Support CI/CD processes and help engineering teams make effective use of the cloud platform stack</li> <li>Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues using monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog</li> <li>Contribute to platform reliability, incident response, and disaster recovery improvements</li> <li>Evaluate relevant technologies and provide recommendations for implementation</li> <li>Support developer experience improvements by enabling teams to work more efficiently with platform tools</li> <li>Where agreed, participate in operational support or on-call activities to ensure platform availability</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Cloud Engineer</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform</li> <li>Experience with public cloud environments, preferably AWS</li> <li>Good knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes</li> <li>Experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Go, or Bash</li> <li>Good technical communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering teams</li> <li>Experience delivering services independently within cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering projects</li> <li>Professional proficiency in English</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with GitOps tools such as FluxCD or ArgoCD</li> <li>Experience with Istio, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana</li> <li>Experience improving Developer Experience in engineering organizations</li> <li>Experience working in agile or product-oriented technology environments</li> <li>Experience with API Gateways</li> <li>Contributions to open-source projects or upstream repositories</li> </ul> <p><strong>Collaboration Model</strong></p> <ul> <li>Cooperation based on a service agreement with independent delivery of agreed services and invoicing</li> <li>Project-based collaboration with Flix stakeholders and engineering teams</li> </ul>
