<h2><strong>The role</strong></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You will diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko and improve its functionality and security within the Firefox graphics team.</span></p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko (C++/Rust), including security bugs</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Write tests, work through code review with graphics module owners, and land fixes, with uplifts where needed.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Keep the ongoing WebGL bug queue under control&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <h2><strong>Definition of done</strong></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Reviewed WebGL fixes and new code landed with tests</span></p> <h2><strong>Required qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong C++ (Rust a plus).</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Graphics / GPU experience, ideally WebGL.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Security mindset, and comfort with sandbox and IPC architectures (WebGL is a security target).</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong debugging in a multithreaded codebase.</span></li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred</strong></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prior browser-engine / Gecko experience.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Security research or fuzzing experience.</span></li> </ul>
