The next generation of American manufacturing is being built right now, and Nox Metals is the supply chain behind it. We’re a technology company in Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers, using software and automation to move metal faster than the industry thought possible. We’re looking for a Social Media Content Creation Intern to help us tell that story. You’ll work directly alongside our marketing lead, learning the craft while doing the real work: shooting and editing video, writing, and shipping content that puts Nox in front of customers, recruits, and the broader American Reindustrialization community. This is a hands-on internship for someone who wants to build a portfolio and the start of a career, not just pad a résumé. What you’ll do: • Produce content end to end. You shoot, you edit, you write, you post, you don’t wait around for someone else to do it. • Help run our social channels across Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn, with everything scheduled and managed in Buffer. • Shoot and edit Reels, shorts, behind-the-scenes clips, and customer-facing video on the factory floor. • Dream up funny, silly, scroll-stopping video ideas that make people click, share, and actually want to follow Nox. • Help produce the Nox podcast: recording, editing, cutting clips, and getting it distributed. • Help write and ship our newsletter to customers, prospects, recruits, and the manufacturing community. • Capture the floor, the team, and our customers on camera. Video is the main focus, with brand photography close behind. • Pitch in on design: decks, one-pagers, social graphics, and print. • Lend a hand on customer gifts, swag, and the unboxing experience that makes customers love us. • Log every post, reel, and episode so we can see what’s working and do more of it. • Walk the floor with our sales, operations, and engineering teams and bring their stories out into the world. • Always ask questions. Never guess when something’s unclear. • Work safely on the floor when you’re shooting, and hold yourself to the same standard we hold our team to. Who you are: • 1 to 2 years of marketing, content, or production experience, ideally in tech, manufacturing, defense, or a fast-moving consumer brand. • A producer at heart. You can shoot, edit, write, and ship a finished piece of content in a day. • A good eye. Your work looks as good as it reads. • A creative spark for social. You can come up with funny, silly ideas on the fly and you understand what makes a video go viral. • Comfortable editing video in Premiere Pro. You’re also handy with Buffer and AI tools that help you move faster. • Comfortable behind the camera and in front of it. You can shoot polished video on both an iPhone and a Sony FX30, and you know how to set exposure on a DSLR from real hands-on experience. • Genuinely interested in why American Reindustrialization, defense manufacturing, and the work on the floor matters. • A builder. You’d rather ship a solid v1 today than a perfect v3 next month. • Detail-oriented. Every reel, photo, and newsletter reflects on Nox. • Customer-obsessed. Every piece of content lands in front of a customer, a recruit, or a future investor. • A team player with a good attitude who makes everyone around them better. • Someone who takes ownership. If it has your name on it, you see it through. • Reliable. Content ships on the days you say it will. • Organized enough to keep a content calendar moving without dropping anything. • Low ego. You’ll walk the floor, talk to operators, and do the unglamorous work because it needs doing. • Committed to safety. You follow every protocol on the floor, no exceptions. Nice to have: • A portfolio of content you’ve personally made: reels, video, writing, design, or podcasts. • Experience producing content for tech, defense, manufacturing, or hardware brands. • Hands-on podcast or audio editing experience. • Strong videography and photography skills, plus comfort with equipment and lighting. • Adobe After Effects and Media Encoder experience is a huge plus. • Graphic design chops are an even bigger plus. If you can work in Photoshop, even better. • Comfort using AI tools to work faster and smarter. This role is part-time, in person in Detroit.
