Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer

Nubank is building one of the most ambitious product organizations in the world — deepening product as a craft while extending it across a span of multiple countries and teams. The Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) is the force multiplier behind that ambition: a trusted partner with the product judgment to make decisions the CPO would stand behind, and the operating discipline to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

As Chief of Staff, you are expected to:

Carry the CPO's product oversight— sitting in product reviews, running them on the CPO's behalf when needed, and reaching decisions the CPO would endorse.

Actively contribute to the definition, monitoring, prioritization, and communication of the product organization's strategy, objectives, and goals.

Design and execute specific projects, from conception through to tracking results.

Act as connective tissue across teams — building bridges, surfacing gaps in plans, and forcing the right conversations between teams.

Structure the resolution of complex problems, generating hypotheses and prioritizing the areas with greatest impact.

Help build the product function as a discipline, raising the craft bar across the organization.

Main Activities:

Stand in for the CPO in product reviews: weigh tradeoffs, reach sound decisions, own the follow-ups, and keep teams accountable to what they committed to.

Help stand up and run the Product Center of Excellence — the standards, rituals, and craft that raise the bar for how product is done across Nubank.

Connect the global expansion effort: keep a live, end-to-end picture across multiple teams so dependencies and risks surface before they become problems, and orchestrate the conversations that keep teams aligned.

Plan and guard product leadership rituals so they maximize decisions and results, not just status.

Lead the planning and execution of priority tasks, acting as PMO when needed.

Coordinate business updates and prepare materials for executive discussions.

What we're looking for:

A disciplined, structured operator. You hold many parallel workstreams and complex problems without dropping threads.

Technically adept and a fast learner. You are comfortable being dropped into an unfamiliar area and getting to real depth quickly.

Hands-on with AI as a working tool — well beyond polishing writing. You have built workflows that connect multiple data sources, you understand MCPs, skills and at a high-level how to integrate with tools, APIs and databases, and you can point to concrete things you have built.

Strong product instincts. You can weigh tradeoffs well enough to stand in for a CPO in a review and land where they would.

Fluent in how large organizations work. You understand who owns which kinds of decisions, and you navigate accordingly.

High-bar by temperament. You are willing to go against the grain, hold a high bar, ask for difficult things, and dial up urgency when teams need it.

Strong communicator & writer. You have the ability to boil down complex messages to their essence.
