Position Summary The Senior Global HR Specialist supports the delivery of internal human resources services for employees throughout Europe and for international employees engaged through Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements and contingent worker vendor relationships. The position coordinates employee lifecycle activities, HR documentation, employee relations support, payroll and benefits administration, immigration processes, HR systems, and compliance activities in alignment with approved corporate standards and applicable local requirements. The role independently manages routine matters, partners with internal and external stakeholders, and escalates complex employee relations, disciplinary, policy, and compliance matters to HR leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Coordinate day-to-day HR operations for European business units and international EOR and contingent worker populations in line with approved processes and local requirements. • Serve as an operational contact for employees, managers, EOR providers, contingent worker vendors, and internal partners; respond to routine inquiries and escalate complex or high-risk matters. • Support onboarding, employee changes, leave coordination, and offboarding; ensure documentation, approvals, system updates, and notifications are completed accurately and on time. • Prepare, review, route, and maintain employment contracts, amendments, employee letters, and related HR documentation using approved templates and guidance. • Coordinate EOR employee administration including onboarding, benefits, payroll inputs, contractual documentation, and issue resolution with local providers. • Support employee relations by gathering facts, maintaining case documentation, communicating approved guidance, and escalating complex disciplinary, compliance, or policy issues. • Coordinate immigration and work-authorization activities; collect and track documents and liaise with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders. • Assist payroll and benefits administration by validating employee data, coordinating changes with paymasters and vendors, supporting enrollment, and resolving discrepancies. • Maintain timely and accurate employee records, case notes, personnel files, compliance documentation, and HRIS data; audit system changes and profiles before payroll processing. • Monitor and resolve Recruiting and HR tickets and cases for supported business units within service expectations. • Research regulatory developments, local employment practices, labor market information, and HR requirements; summarize findings and support implementation of approved policy/process updates. • Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, IT, Legal, Compliance, HR Integration, and other teams to coordinate lifecycle activities and resolve operational issues. • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, project updates, employee data summaries, and compliance documentation for HR leadership. • Support HR service-delivery and process-improvement initiatives by documenting workflows, identifying recurring issues, participating in testing, and recommending improvements. • Build and maintain productive relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support consistent service delivery across countries and cultures. • Protect confidential employee and organizational information and apply appropriate discretion in all HR activities. • Travel: occasional domestic or international travel up to 5% for meetings, training, employee support, or other business needs. Marginal Functions • Participate in cross-functional projects that impact local and/or international HR processes or employee experience. • Contribute to HR technology implementations or upgrades, including testing, feedback, and training support for global users. • Represent HR in international meetings, sharing insights and updates on the global workforce and compliance matters. • Assist with onboarding and mentoring new HR team members, especially those supporting international teams. • Complete special projects or assignments as directed by senior leadership or to meet department objectives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Deep understanding of European labor laws, employment contracts, and regulatory frameworks, including EU directives such as GDPR. • Experience managing Employer of Record (EOR) relationships and cross-border employment complexities, including immigration documentation and international compliance. • Ability to work independently with limited guidance and collaborate effectively in a global team environment. • Leadership and mentoring skills to support HR teams across diverse geographies, focusing on capability building and professional development. • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, proactive problem-solving, risk assessment, and continuous improvement. • High cultural sensitivity and awareness; ability to foster inclusive, respectful, and globally cohesive workplace environments. • Skilled in conflict resolution and de-escalation; handle sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism. • Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure. • Effective communicator with a professional and authentic style; engage across cultures and platforms (in-person, email, phone, digital tools). • Proficient in global HRIS platforms, compliance tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); able to oversee digital documentation and records. • Ability to establish effective working relationships across departments and leadership levels, including external vendors and stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information and uphold ethical HR practices. • Quick learner able to adapt to changing environments, regulations, and organizational needs. Required Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent combinations of education, experience, and relevant programs (certifications, job training) considered. • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in international HR management supporting European jurisdictions. • Experience with European labor laws, employment contracts, and regulatory frameworks across multiple countries. • Prior experience managing EOR relationships and cross-border employment complexities strongly preferred. • Experience with contract management and international HR documentation is a plus. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams). • Experience with global HRIS platforms and compliance tracking systems; Prism experience is a plus. Required Licenses and/or Certifications • Professional HR certification preferred. Recognized credentials include: • CIPD Membership (Associate, Chartered Member, or Fellow) • GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) • SPHRi / PHRi • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP • Certification in international labor law, global HR strategy, or cross-border employment practices is a plus.
